What it is: Dried rose buds from Pingyin, Shandong, and Kushui, Gansu, two regions with centuries of rose cultivation. These small, deep-pink buds are a classic base for floral notes in tea, fragrance, and skincare.
How to use & application scenes: Steep 3–5 buds in 85°C water for tea, blend with black tea or goji berries, or add to baked goods. For sachets, air-dry the buds and place them in breathable pouches. They also work in homemade floral oils and natural perfumery.
Craft: Growers pick buds at dawn, then dry them in shade or at low temperature to keep the delicate aroma. Some batches undergo traditional scenting to layer the fragrance. No additives or artificial colors are used.
Cultural meaning: In Chinese culture, the rose symbolizes love and beauty. It appears in festivals, gifts, and poetic traditions, carrying a gentle floral aesthetic that has traveled along trade routes for generations.

Buds are hand-picked at dawn when half-open, then shade-dried or low-temperature dried the same day to protect volatile oils. Some batches are traditionally scented by layering with tea or spices so the floral note transfers naturally. No sulfur fumigation or artificial colors are used.
In Chinese culture, the rose stands for love, beauty, and good fortune. It is often given during festivals and celebrated in poetry. Pingyin and Kushui have developed local rose traditions that reflect both Silk Road exchange and agrarian heritage.
